No one will convince me that God isn't real. No one will convince that God's Word doesn't work or that He doesn't save (John 3:16,) heal (Romans 8:11) or fight my battles for me (Exodus 14:14).
Why? Because I have experienced too many healings in my body, too many situations being turned around in my favor. I have seen God and His Word work on my behalf way too many times.
Once you have experienced God, it is hard to be convinced otherwise.
Although the Israelites saw God deliver them from slavery (Exodus 15,) send them manna to eat every day (Exodus 16:15,) make the bitter waters sweet (Exodus 15:22-26,) they didn't believe.
In Exodus 32, they erected a golden calf to worship instead. Something tangible. Something real. Something that couldn't save them, couldn't heal them or deliver them from their enemies.
They claimed that they could follow any commandment that God required (Exodus 24:3.)
This is how we are.
We think that our efforts, our abilities, our talents will get us the miracles, the breakthroughs, the changes we need in our lives. We think that we can be good enough to earn blessings from God.
Isaiah 64:6 states that our righteousness, our efforts, are as filthy rags.
Filthy rags. That's what our righteousness is to God.
When we try to earn our blessings, our miracles, God sees our efforts as filthy rags.
When we try to earn our salvation through our good works instead of accepting what Christ did for us at the Cross, God sees our righteousness as filthy rags.
God knows we are human. God is more aware of it than we are.
It is why God created the Ten Commandments--to show us our need for a Savior (Galatians 3:24.)
Without Christ and His Sacrifice at the Cross, we wouldn't have remission of sins (Hebrews 8:22.) Heaven wouldn't be our home.
We are not good enough. Only Christ is.
We obtain everything by relying on Christ and His Sacrifice.
Need healing? See your sickness in Jesus body on the Cross.
Need finances? Need help with your children? Your mind? Rely on Christ.
Romans 8:32 tells us, "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?"
Healing? Is that included in all things? Yes.
Finances? Is that included in all things? Yes.
Is help with your children? Your mind? Are these included in all things? Yes.
Salvation is not earned. The blessings of God are not earned. Miracles are not earned.
The currency of Heaven is faith in Jesus and what He did at the Cross.
Focus on Christ and what He did.
Don't try to earn your blessings. Just rest in Jesus and Him crucified.
