Don’t Waste Time Grieving Over Past Mistakes, Learn From Them and Move On. Picture Quotes.com

“I hate when I make mistakes, at this rate I will never accomplish my goals.”

Over the years, learning how to re-direct my negative self-talk (as stated above in quotes) to positive self-talk makes a huge difference in the way I view myself regarding my mistakes.

As I sought to enhance my personal development skills through working with a life coach, the very first thing I learned was changing my mindset. By changing my mindset to speaking positive self-talk, I developed an empowering thinking with an attitude of anticipating and expecting successful outcomes. And, if my outcomes are not favorable, “it’s okay” because I will try again. For me, changing my mindset was envisioning myself as an apprentice seeking to learn life skills in order to build a “better me.”

Problem solving and critical thinking are now the skills I use when analyzing my mistakes. By using these skills, I am able to evaluate correctly through logicial thinking what went wrong and why which encourges me to try harder or by tackling mistakes in a different way.

My motto about my mistakes, “in striving to move forward mistakes happen, but failure only comes when I stop trying.”
