Written 10-21-04, based on Phil. 3:12-15

I fell today,
As each day before;
I’ll fall tomorrow,
This I can’t ignore.

Then the Voice
Spoke to my heart;
Gave me freeing truth,
Strength to re-start.

“Don’t look back,
Look to the Christ;
He is alone,
Your life’s Reprise.

“Don’t look back,
Tomorrow is gone;
For success or failure,
Christ is your Dawn.”

He replaces
What’s before my eyes;
Instead of my failure,
I look to my Reprise.

To keep from looking back,
One must look forward;
In this is my single charge,
To look for my Lord.
