Marriage

Are there any promises to be made or have we said them all? Are they the same old ones or something new? Must I cry in desolation before I can see your pain? Must your tears touch mine, as we weep in solitude? Are there any new discoveries, we can find in each other? Or is the magic all gone?

I used to see a light in your eyes and I knew it was there just for me. Is it still there or must I search deeper? How far can you go into the depths of the soul in another person? Is it different, if it’s your Beloved?

God said love is everything and He showed us by sending his son. As intensely as I could ever love you, it’s nothing compared to his. I think the point of us being together, is to present ourselves to Him, together. Can you imagine the intensity of that? There is truly a God and a Heaven and both of them are waiting for us.

As painless as death may be, compared to living; it is not the only way we can reach Heaven. Heaven begins in the heart. Where it goes from there is up to you and God. He is the Father. Will you know him? In Heaven, we are in the Father’s heart. Now, we are only in each other’s heart and that is a wonderful thing. But our destiny my Beloved, is higher than just you and I.

Love demands that we must feel everything and in that glory, we can find eternity. Just how personal is Heaven? We think of it as Paradise but never question what Paradise is. Is it pure happiness? But if we have never felt that, how can we know of its intense beauty?

Our dreams of passion then must be to return to each other, in innocence every time. When we touch each other soul to soul, I can feel all the magic again. It must be that I love you.

It is beyond all my hopes and dreams to even imagine why you love me. It must be true that love is blind or maybe it sees everything too clearly to ever turn back. Or maybe it can’t imagine what it’s like to be alone or maybe it knows too dearly. If there will ever be a way to Heaven, then surely it must be through love.

The prodigal son must come home. The daughter must follow. We have all lost our way at one time or another. Sometimes it was just too dark. I remember those times. I felt so alone and then I found you. It’s never been as dark since. To quote a clique, you’re the light of my life.

Together, we’re like two candles in the dark, compared to the real light. But our two candles can see enough to help us grope through the darkness together. I believe in our love and in God’s. He wants us to be together and to be happy. I believe that to him, the gift of marriage is special and through our marriage, that together we can find him and the way to Heaven, which is our real home.
