Glory turns to dust when it’s being experienced for the wrong reason. Glory is the afterglow of something that’s been well done.

Glory is really only glory when it’s done for life and creation, for God. It’s a concept that some people don’t understand. But for those who do, it’s worth the cost if that cost is working for God. Everything in life has a price and the price is usually too high, unless it’s for the Father. Then the price is never too high.

Christianity flourished because the religious pioneers were hard-headed and stubborn. They knew life was hard and to survive they had to be tough. But inside, their hearts were tender and their souls thirsted for God.

Jesus just didn’t talk about it but showed them a better way to live. Their physical lives didn’t change but inside they were different people. They understood something special and that was love.

The world had slipped into cruelty and apathy. Each one, bad enough by itself but together they made living pretty bad. Jesus moved the hearts of people. This is why he was such a threat. A few people in power saw the real potential of this and this was far more threatening than anything political.

Who was to blame for his death? It had to happen. Even now many of us, human as we are, not ready for the love he showed. That’s why we have to keep trying again and again. But we’re strong in spirit, so unless we want to, we never have to give up. It bothers me that people give up so easily.

People will work 80 hours a week to get more things, which they really don’t need in the first place. But they think they can’t make a connection with God. Or maybe that’s just an excuse. He might ask them to do something. And actually he shouldn’t have to. He might like to be surprised by something we really want to do for him.

I’m not suggesting that you do anything but think about it. If you were God, what would you want from you? Without love it doesn’t matter how big the sacrifice. Love is the answer to life and living it completely. The sooner we learn this, the sooner we’ll be closer to God.

What do you say to someone who doesn’t believe? If you treat them badly, they’ll never have any respect for your God. And neither do you or you wouldn’t be acting that way. Sometimes we can be awful children. At some point in our life we have to grow up. How can we teach our children if we’re not any more intense than they are?

Being loving to everyone means that you have to be very intense. There’s enough love to go around but you have to keep the energy flowing. Love is the connection between Heaven and earth.
By loving we can make this connection. We must have faith.
