There are those among us whose minds
attract and attach to guilt like a magnet
they go feverishly scouring the horizon behind them
for something
anything to regret
these are those whose hands frantically seek
an instrument any tool with which to rake themselves
over the blistering coals of self-recrimination.
Jesus came to deliver such ones
he has compassion on them, a tender place in his heart
of hearts for us.....oops I mean for them.
