But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. Ephesians 4:7 NIV

Do we at times tend to compare the amount of grace we have received to that of others? This can be quite dangerous. If we think we have received more grace than some, our heads may become inflated, as we may tend to think we were somehow more deserving than others. If we feel we have received less grace than others, we may become envious, or have hurt feelings.

What we must keep in mind is that all grace received is a gift from God. We have done absolutely nothing to deserve His grace. We have received it because God loves us so very much.

Instead of comparing the grace you have received to that of others, do the following instead. First of all, thank God that He loves you so very much, and has bestowed grace upon you. You would not have grace if not for Him. Secondly, utilize that which has been given to you through His grace to advance the kingdom of God. God does not bestow favor on you for you to keep it hidden. You must utilize that which you have been given for God’s kingdom. This is the action taken by a child of God. Gifts are given to be used, not to be hoarded. That which is hoarded becomes immobile and useless. Take the treasures you have been give and utilize them to the capacity available. Then the true power and value of those treasures are released and become that for which they were intended.
