Ideas are like seeds in your mind. They sit in the dark and when conditions are right, they germinate. Little shoots thrust up from your subconscious mind and grow into your daily life. They invade your thoughts and inhabit your dreams. They are beings that exist in their own right, not simply as products of your imagination. After a while they are people you know, living lives you can observe. Their personalities develop and grow as you watch. You ask, “What if?” and they surprise you with the answer.

Later, you are talking to God, journaling as you listen to His heart. He talks to you about stories, how they create readiness and nudge people towards receptive insight (Mark 4:11 Message). It’s what Jesus did when He wanted to build hearts and minds that aligned to His heart and mind. You believe that He still wants stories to bring alignment. So, you take these ideas, these people who have been living in your mind and distil their characters, their stories, their very essence, into words. These words are your opportunity to bring receptive insight. It is both terrifying and liberating, this potential to change lives and so you grasp it with an open heart and open hands.
