Matthew 24 (KJV)

Verse 2; Jesus' prophesy of the destruction of the Temple,

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

12 AND BECAUSE INIQUITY SHALL ABOUND, THE LOVE OF MANY SHALL WAX COLD.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

*Conscience waxing cold

*The deceit of the elect

The Bible states in Genesis 4:7 that, "sin is crouching at the door and its desire is for you, but you must master it." ... Cain became angry with his brother Abel, Cain did not master his anger and he ended up murdering his brother. Anger leads to bitterness, which leads to hate and rage, which leads to evil acts. This is the situation of the hearts of many in very many societies; self loathing and hatred of certain people. That is why we are told in Ephesians 4:26 to "...not let the sun go down on your anger." This means to take responsibility for it and deal with it quickly. The flesh must be brought under submission for anyone who wants to WALK with and WORK for the most High, no compromise!

  1. When man is overly stubborn and egoistic and he refuses to bow and submit to God’s bidding and statutes;

Romans1: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:                                                                                32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

“For this reason God gave them over to DEGRADING PASSIONS...”

Verse 28:"And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind to do those things which are not proper."

2 Many things are improper in modern society according to God’s word and ways, even according to man’s rules and regulations but these have become accepted as NORM and politically correct because the heart of many has waxed cold and have become accustomed to improprieties (failure to observe standards of honesty or modesty; improper behaviour or character. Synonyms: wrongdoing, misconduct, dishonesty, corruption, unscrupulousness, illegitimacy)!
