I Love the Lord

I love the Lord because
He first loved me.

He set me in a straight path
for His name's sake.

He called me from afar,
before, when I knew Him not.

My instruction was His delight and as
a concerned father who
delivers his young ones
from the snare of the fowler so doth
the LORD deliver all them that put 
their trust in Him.

He heareth the cry of the
needy and raiseth up the
sin burdened soul.

Let those who call upon
our God in truth rejoice and
be not ashamed.

Let the wicked be ashamed who counsel
together to covet the
wealth of the righteous,
Who join hands together
to cut off the godly
from the earth and their offspring.

The LORD will punish all evil doers who regard
iniquity in their heart.

The way of the wicked
is the proud and haughty
scorner who shall be cast
into hell and destroyed.

But praise shall be to
the upright in heart and all those whose
way is peace.

Greatly to be praised is Jehovah,
from this day forth and forever more.  Amen.
