Faith Glasses
Where did they go?
I know they are here…somewhere
Now…where did I leave them?

In the car?
Near the couch?
At work?

Now I can’t see…by faith
Now, I’m blind…again
My hands feel my way
through the blur

I’m wondering if I will ever
find them again
I can’t even see
the words in my Bible
I can’t even pray...sigh

Then, I guess I’ll left with just one strategy:
I’ll start praising
Yep, that’s how I’ll find them
I’ll remind myself you are sovereign
And good and trustworthy and strong
And present…you are always there

Yeah, you don’t have to say a word
Just knowing that you are with me
It’s not your voice that I seek
It’s not your direction right now
I want to know that you
are with me on this strange
path that I am on
So unknown
So…on the edge
I won't move forward
without you

You say I was made for this...

Oh, you got me a new pair
with rainbow stripes
to remind me of Your promises
They look quite…promising
and chic

It’s too bad no one else can see them
Just you and me and
those ones with the
mustard colored specs
