HOW LONG WILL YOU BREAK THE HEART OF GOD?
A Message to the Church

Love unbridled and grace beyond measure
The fullness of God poured out as our treasure.
The Holy Ghost giftings
The fruits of His peace
But the vision has wilted
And the power has ceased.

A vanity, arrogance, pride and self-seeking
Outweighs love for God
And our egos are reeking
As a stench in the very own
Nostrils of God.
Where's the hope for a bride
So unfaithful and cold?

Self-glory and pride
Are the crimes of the devil.
Is it now your desire
In his cursed stench to revel?

You can puff yourselves up
Till the hearer grows weary.
But when did you last seek Him
Knees sore and eyes bleary?

All your wood, hay and stubble
Will burn up with a raging.
His purity only
Survives perfect cleansing.

To love Him beyond measure, once
That was our legacy bold.
But our hearts have grown empty
And our spirits without mercy
Ring of jealousy, bitter and cold.

You rail with your tongue, church
Gossip flowing like wine.
Your sound, like the heathen
Why so deaf, why so blind?
He has shed His great light
Abroad in our hearts
Surely we, no excuses can offer.
We must stop pagan prattle
And our lips must be holy
Blessing Him blesses them, prince and pauper.

How could the ones
That He has shown
Such undiluted mercy
Be so far from seeing
The Light and the Glory
Of His Son, the True One, broken; bleeding.

He will not wink at sin
He is not like a man,
That your lies and betrayals escape Him.
Do you wish to return
Does your heart long and burn
To go home, to go back, to behold Him?

Curse the darkness that you have let
Descend upon your heart
Flee a tongue that's filled with evil
And His grace, He will impart.
There's peace and perfection
That is found as you seek
The Holy of Holies
He alone cures the weak.

Where is your faith?
Why are you in fear?
The Lord of Creation
Is much closer than near.
Once great faith turned to fear, now
Once great love turned to envy.
I tell you this true
From the throneroom of God
Seek His Face and make sin your great enemy.

"I will separate now
The chaff from the wheat."
The time for the harvest
Grows short and complete.
The day has arrived
Just as He said it would.
The whole earth will be shaken
Till He finds something good.

A cold-steel determined
Fire-born child of God
Will seek Him in suffering
Tread the path where He trod.

"You've ignored all My chidings
And My gentle chastisement.
Now prepare for the next phase
It is time for refinement."
