"I have to admit, I'm addicted," I heard someone say.  "I have some serious addictions.  I'm addicted to mentioning Jesus to people daily.  If I happen to miss a day I can mention Him multiple times the following day to make up for it.  I'm also addicted to thanking Him daily from the heart for His sacrifice on the cross for us and to thanking the Father for raising Him from the dead, and telling Them Both that I love Them.  My addiction also includes eagerly inviting His soon return every day and asking Him to help me be ready for it as part of His irresistible Bride.
   As with may addicts I love gathering regularly with others addicted to the same things.  I need a support group and I have one, it's called the church, the body of Christ.  I know it may sound like a contradiction but I pray to God now that I may be led by the Holy Spirit in the pursuit and satisfaction of these addictions.  The Holy Spirit has given me them, I believe, and so they are sanctified, but I have also developed and cultivated them.  Yes, may I be led of the Spirit in all of them, for the consistent and sensitive following of that leading is one of the sure marks of spiritual maturity."
