Who Can Understand The Mind Of Christ

Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you that is also in Christ Jesus

This means keep thinking this, maintains the attitude within yourself, live harmoniously and peaceably, be humble and a spirit of servitude.

How can we have something that we know nothing about? It says be thus minded, which means let us think this or let us hold this opinion. We must realize that we are not perfect but we press to achieve higher spiritual strengths. To be perfect, mature. Mature Christians admit they aren’t perfect, because we have not spiritually arrived yet. Anything else or otherwise minded, God reveals even this to you, all of your errors.

How can we understand the mind of Christ?
We come to the nevertheless, which means not my will, but thy will be done.
Where we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

We need to pray for the mind of Christ, we need to read the word, for the word is the mind of Christ. In the beginning was the word (Gen. 1:1, St. John 1:1, 14), and the word became flesh and dwelled among us. We need to read it, absorb it in our spirit, apply it to our life by letting it rest, rule, and abide in our hearts.

Who can understand the mind of Christ? For our ways are not his, and our thoughts are not his thoughts. What we think we ought, we ought not and what we think we should, we should not.

Everything in our lives that we do, except common sense stuff (brush your teeth, comb you hair) we should pray about it first, so that we can know what God says about what we do. All the time we think because we are saved, we can make no wrong decisions, we can do no wrong, but the Bible says all of our righteousness is as filthy rags.

II Timothy 4:2-4 exhorts us to preach the word. Be instant in season, and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears, and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned to fables.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an Evangelist, make proof of thy ministry.

As a parent – train up a child in the way they are to go, instill righteousness in them, teach them respect, chastise them, spare not the rod, love them, teach them to love, gave love one to another, to love God, to obey God, parents, and others in authority, to share, to do what’s right and when they are old they may stray but the teachings in their hearts will bring them back to where they should be. If children were not going to go astray, God would never have said they would.

God holds us accountable for the things we don’t confront that we know are wrong. If our children are doing wrong and we know it and don’t confront it, then we are saying that we concur with it. How can two walk; together except they agree (Amos 3:3). If we aren’t in agreement with things, we need to dismiss it. No matter who it is. If a child is doing wrong and they know how you are living, then they will get as far away from you, because they respect you and not only that, they reference the fear of God in you. The mind of Christ loves, but he also brings chastisement.
