Grief
The question is asked by melted hearts
What next O' Lord, what step to take ?
Is this how it will be ?
Will I get over this dark cloud that hangs
What lies ahead for the tomorrow's
What will life offer me
Will I make it to another day
A question is asked by silent tears
How will I surpass this great empty space
Why must I go on any further
Who will come to lend an ear,
to answer the cry in my soul ?
Today is gone the memories linger on
Can I get pass this feeling of despair
What now O' Lord' my thoughts are few
I really don't know what to do
Deep wounds are pressed inside of my heart
Can comfort ease my oppressed soul
Who can answer me when I lack reason;
Tomorrow has come and yet no peace;
Who will give me that rest I so need,
to remove the doubts and fears that come,
binding up the life in me
Who can answer this question I present;
A part of me has gone, I cannot reach beyond
Must I go on even though one has left me,
to bear the hurt of their departure
Yes! In your despair there is hope
God desires for us to carry on
and build up on His word of promise
He says, here I am, take my hand
Here I am your comforter lean on me
and live
This poem was written for a family
who lost a love one
