When we come to Jesus Christ, and turn our lives over to Him, we are given a clean bill of health by the Master Doctor. We have a new health. We have a health of the spirit rather than that of the world. Our spiritual health stands firm in the salvation provided to us by Jesus Christ.

When we turn to Christ, we cannot return to our old way of living. Doing so would thwart us being able to do work for the advancement of the kingdom. God’s ways are not man’s ways. We cannot give ourselves to earthly desires and at the same time serve God. The two just do not go well together. To be of this world entails exalting oneself, while carrying out the work of the Lord requires that we truly humble ourselves.

One cannot sit on a fence when serving God. You are either in all the way, or you are out. Luke warm Christians are not true Christians at all.

If we stray from the path of righteousness, we need to return to the Lord, seek His pardon, and then resume our carrying out of His work. We will all at times fail, but, our Lord is loving, compassionate, and forgiving. He will restore us if we return to Him humbly.
