Spiritual Blessings

Eph. 1:3

“…God…has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms…”

Q. What are these spiritual blessings?

1. verse 4 tells us that God chose us to be holy and w/o fault (no condemnation – Rom 8:1) 

2. verse 5 tells us that God predestined us to be adopted into the family of God.

3. verse 7 says that the Lord our God purchased our freedom with the blood of Christ 

4. verse 8 says we have been lavished with wisdom and understanding.

5. In verse 8 and also in Colossians 1:12  we are told that we have received an inheritance from    God.     

 6. we have received the promised Holy Spirit according to verse13

7. Almighty God has revealed to us His plan regarding Christ 

      The plan of salvation through Christ Jesus is revealed in  Eph. 2:4-6

     And Gal. 3:26-28 tells us that  we are all equal in the eyes of God - TO ALL WHO   BELIEVE

8. And Philippians 4:19 promises that God provides all of our needs   

Q. Why did God do all this?

He did this so we would praise and glorify Him… Ephesians 1:14

And so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.  2:10

Such as:  clothe the poor, feed the hungry, visit the sick, help widows and orphans, and pray for them all.

I pray to you, Almighty God and creator of the universe in the name of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; help us all, who believe, to understand these blessings; help us to realize the grace and power we have through the Holy Spirit who dwells in our hearts; and help us to realize that we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Amen
