As time slowly passes, and days drift on by,
We're left to sit and wonder why.
Why do things happen the way they do,
There's a reason for everything, and this pulls us through.
Nanie, you are now blessed with an angel from God's heaven above,
To keep you safe and comfort you with his love.
He'll always be with you no matter how far you go.
You will feel his unconditional love, and you will always know.
To me you were also sent from God's heaven above.
You have always protected me and always filled me with love.
You are a wonderful grandmother and an amazing friend,
This I will cherish, as my heart slowly mends.
I know I'll be safe, and my children will be too,
God's blessed us with a heavenly angel, and our earthly angel is you.
So on the hard days, when you are feeling alone,
Know that he's with you, no matter where you call home.
Stay strong as you always seem to be,
And remember you and grampie, are angels to my children and me.
Let's remember him always, with the stories he told,
No matter how many times we heard them, they never grew old.
Remember his eyes, and the light that shined through,,
The twinkle in his eyes, everytime he looked at you.
Remember his laughter, and all the joy he brought here,
Remember his love, and he'll always be near.
Nanie, remember that you will never be alone in this life,
You will always be his best friend, his companion and wife.
Nanie, talk to him often, he will always hear you,
He will stand by you always, in everything that you do.
