 And he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in your weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 NKJV

Paul shared with those in Corinth about his own thorn in the flesh, and wanted them, and us, to reach up by faith and understand, he who created us knows better than we do what is essential for us. In Him, our purpose, our hope, our fulfillment for living comes through His sufficiency, not upon our own resources.

We may feel like we’re stumbling through our days because of some physical concern, or emotional unrest, but when we reach up by faith, take hold His outstretched hand, we’ll become more confident in dealing with the obstacles.

To make things go away doesn’t necessarily become the solution, as the Apostle Paul recognized. I realized this clearly in my own life, dealing with paralysis in my right arm and hand from birth. When we recognize God has perfect knowledge of all our being, we’ll understand:

“My frame was not hidden from You,My frame was not hidden from You,When I was made in secret,And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.And in Your book they all were written,the days fashioned for me,When as yet there were none of them.” Psalm 139: 15-16   

What we’re about with each new day is to also recognize; God who created us and knew before we were born, what will be our sufficiency through every circumstance, since He provides for us.
