READ FOR YOURSELF: Revelation 19-22

TODAY’S KEY VERSE

Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. REVELATION 19:7 (NKJV)

--WEDDING DAY-- 

Little girls grow up dreaming of the magical day a man of their dreams comes to sweep them off their feet. Her favorite colors are decorated all over the church celebrating the moment. The organist sits down and plays that traditional number as she walks down the aisle clothed as a fairy tale princess, escorted by her beaming father, and with all her family watching. Finally, she reaches the platform and the man who has been waiting for her. After exchanging lifelong promises, her old life is exchanged for a new one.

Such is the day when Christ returns for His beloved, the Church. He purchased us with His blood. Jesus will whisk us away from the brokenness of this world into the newness of His. Not because of anything we have done, but because Jesus loves us.

Prayer: Dear God, may we remember that no matter what happens today, you love us. Should I be rejected, may I remember that in you I find acceptance. May you grant me your grace to do the same to those around me. Amen.
