Agreeing with God’s Good Plans (Jeremiah 29:11)

(The first of 4 truths to stand on in 2017)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)

As we walk further into this new year, God would have us remember that He only has good plans for us. He only thinks good thoughts towards us (New King James version). It may be true that we may have encountered many challenging situations during the last year, but I do believe they were not planned or brought to us by our Abba God. His Word shows us that His plans are for our increase, and for the prosperity of our body, spirit and soul (3 John 1:2). This is what He wants us to expect and walk in during this new year. This is His desire for us and this is His Word for the year to come.

Dear friend, if we could see the heart of God and get a glimpse of the amazing things He dreams and plans for His children, our hearts would be filled with positive expectation! As earthly parents, we would never want anything but the best for our kids, and God is our compassionate and loving heavenly parent! He has decreed great things for us and I really believe that we can walk through 2017 as overcomers, if we agreed every day with His heart and His words for us. There is great power in agreement and every time we confess the negative things we may see popping up against us, we agree with what the enemy wants. On the other hand, when we receive and agree with God’s Word for our lives, we receive His thoughts, His desires for us. Heaven backs that agreement, bringing answered prayer and a manifestation of God’s good plans in our daily lives.

“My precious child, I have great dreams for you! I love you and I only have good plans for you. Expect My best this year and settle for nothing less. I am expanding the borders of your tent. I am increasing your sphere of influence. I am calling you deeper into the realms of My Spirit and giving you a clarity of hearing to take you where I want you to go. You are Mine and I have marked you with My blood. Rest secure in your place in My heart and know that I have you covered as you walk through this year. I have already gone before you and made every rough road smooth. Believe in Me and you will see great and mighty miracles as you walk this year with Me!”

Some of us may have stepped into this year with some anxieties about finances, job uncertainties, family issues, and other challenges. However, we serve a God of solutions, for whom nothing is impossible! Let His heavenly hope and faith fill you every day. If we agree with Him, and expect a positive outcome in every area of our lives, this is truly what we will begin to see because that is His heart for you and me. The number 17 is symbolic of victory and overcoming and this is what I declare for you as you read this message and receive it. Agree with me here and now that this year is going to be good; that you will overcome every hindrance with the help of the Holy Spirit to rise higher and fly like an eagle in heavenly places. Choose to agree with God. Choose to believe Him and know that His will for you is good and that you will walk in His plans and purposes, blessed and a blessing to many. God has awesome plans for you. He dreams big dreams for you! This year, He is inviting you to expand your vision and dream amazing dreams with Him. Plan to go higher and to see increase and acceleration in every aspect of your life. God has already projected a fruitful year and the forecast is good! You are going to see the fulfillment of many promises and a season of real achievement. You are an overcomer. You are blessed and highly favored. You are Abba’s precious child and His pearl of great price!
