Lord I believe, Yes I believe
You came from Your throne
You came to care for Your own

Belief is one of the main proponents of the Christian faith. When our Lord was on  this earth, He could be seen by all. They could talk with Him, and even reach out and touch Him. Now that He has left this earth, we must believe. We must take Him by faith.(Hebrews 11:1,6)

The words "faith", "trust" and "believe" in English translations all come from the same Greek root (pisteuo).

 So, faith is made up of three Bible principles-knowledge, belief, and trust. Knowledge comes first. "How shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard ? (Romans 10:14) The mind then goes on to believe. Then, come the trust.

In (John 4:46-53),  we see an account of a man who was saved by grace only after he had experienced three kinds of faith. Note that in verse 47 the nobleman exercised a historical faith; he heard that Jesus had come into Galilee, and he went to Him. Note that when Jesus told him to "go thy way; thy son liveth," the nobleman exercised an intellectual faith in believing the word that Jesus had spoken to him. But now note verse 53. When he knew that his son became well at that very hour Jesus had said "thy son liveth," this man exercised a trusting faith. He was saved right then and there.

Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
