The human body has physical limitations. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, had limitations when He dwelled among us as a man. He was only able to be in one place at one time. We have seen that Jesus did not need to be physically present for a miracle to occur. Yet, teaching the word of His heavenly Father was limited to His presence or the presence of those He commissioned to speak on His behalf.

Jesus knew that for the word of God to be spread throughout the whole world, it would take more than His physical presence. He also knew that a gift which would come to those who believed in Him, and His death and resurrection, and their purpose, was receiving of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not limited by presence. The Spirit of God can be present in a multitude of places at the same time. Through the indwelling Spirit of God, the work of the Lord can be accomplished by many all at once.

In today’s world we know that the need for God’s Spirit is everywhere. Jesus has told us that the harvest is ripe, but the workers are few. We are asked by the Lord to pray that more workers will be sent to reap the harvest. Time is short. The Lord’s second coming awaits. Many souls are lost and need to be rescued by the saving grace of Jesus Christ. This is why the Holy Spirit indwells the believer. People need to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit imparts all truth to the believer. Through the Spirit of God, the believer is equipped to work in the fields, to bring in the harvest for the Lord. Let us all work earnestly and diligently to let God’s Spirit work in and through us so that many may be saved through Jesus Christ! AMEN!!
