The world according  to the Lord is not the Earth that he has created but the world systems designed by the devil and His human cohorts from generations past until now; a system that is vehemently anti God and anti Christ.
A system that encourages any form of blasphemous act and creates laws and ideologies to support and sustain it.
The love of The world is indeed enemity with God almighty because there will be a clash of interest. No one can love and worship wealth, position, status, worldly knowledge and many physical/temporal things that moth and rust can wear out, loving all these and still declare love for God is simply impossible. The camel going through The eye of a needle is a perfect description in the Bible about how difficult it will be for a rich man to make heaven! Jesus Christ often admonishes those who want to follow Him to forsake family, wealth and things that could hinder the progress of their Faith, then follow Him! Security of faith and a place in heaven is the idea behind this.
The world system is quite organised and ensures security of place, power and position for the devil's  followers ( consciously and unconsciously ) also
The 'world' knows and identifies its own wherever they are located on the globe and ensures the security of the juiciest portions for them whilst strategically marginalising God's children in devious intentions.

God of the heavens and the Earth (psalm 24 : 1; 1 Corinthians 10 : 25) can help His children to take charge and remain so as originally intended, the clause is not to go with the flow, no compromise in divine moral standards at any point no matter how high the devil's emissaries turn up the heat. Proverbs 11:21

The Lord made definite statements in the first chapter of Genesis about taking charge, this is still active but to remain under the shadow of the almighty as the wheat grow beside the many chaff in this world readiness to suffer long and be faithful in trusting God is essential for the days are truly evil.
