Born in the Heart, Christmas Every Day

Today I do not have a particular scripture passage to share. Yet, I do have a message to share.

Today I was out for lunch. Those who saw me would say that an elderly man was having lunch by himself. How wrong they would be in their observation. For God was with me while I ate. Today He spoke to me in a special way.

I was thinking about the holiday season, and how soon we will be celebrating Christmas Day, the day of our Lord and Saviors birth, His incarnation. I thought to myself “What if every day was Christmas?” Then the Lord said to me “Every day I am born, alive, new in the hearts of lost souls who turn their lives over to me.” I knew right then that the next few minutes of my life would be profound, as God was speaking with me. I know that God can do much work through those who humble themselves before Him and allow Him to use them as He wishes for the advancement of His kingdom. I began reflecting on the purpose of life, and helping to find lost souls and share with them about the Lord came to mind. I thought it would be nice to know if anything I ever did played even a small part in a soul being saved. Then God said to me “Why must you know this? Have not I given much to you?” I came to realize that I would know the answer to my question when the time was proper. Maybe we learn the answer to this question when we stand before Him on judgement day, or maybe when we enter heaven. But, in my heart I somehow knew, was told, that one who humbles Himself before God and gives God the choice to use us as He wishes, we certainly will be used for the advancement of God’s kingdom. Yes, souls will be won for the Lord if we will but allow Him to use us as He wishes. By now my eyes were very puffy, and I knew I was holding back tears, tears of joy. My God, the creator, the almighty, the great I AM had chosen to put on my heart words of His. How am I, one who is here today and gone tomorrow deserving of what I experienced today? I am not worthy of what happened, yet God loves me so much that He chose for me to have this experience today.

If you will humble yourself before Him, He will speak with you as well. God really does use those who will humble themselves before Him. Be blessed and know that God loves each and everyone one of you far more than you could ever imagine. Know that in humbling yourself God will use you for His glory. AMEN!!
