JESUS' SONG

We had fellowship, sweet and eternal
It was perfect and pure and unique
We were One and yet Three
Yet it made sense to Me
For all wisdom was part of my keep.

I remember the laugh of the Father
As I hurled out a world into space
There was beauty in all
That We brought into being
And the Holy Ghost warmed Our embrace.

All that happens does not catch Us sleeping
For We formed it and shaped it and breathed
But in spite of Our knowing the outcome
When We watched them choose sin, how We grieved.

. . . I looked at the face of My Father
And I knew the deep hurt of the Spirit
Then I thought of the journey awaiting
And My love for the sheep brought Me near it.

"Goodbye, My Dear Father," I told Him
"I shall see You when I'm past the burden,"
Then I left Him for first time forever
As I sailed to the womb of the Virgin.
