DriversEd.com states, ‘If you see a yield sign ahead, be prepared to let the other drivers crossing your road take the right-of- way. Here lately, many of the roads I travel have posted yield signs. Sometimes there is a lot of traffic. So I have to slow down, wait and look to see what’s coming in my direction. But if I’m running late or not in the mood to wait, then I speed through, ignoring the sign and the oncoming traffic.  While yield signs serve a purpose in traffic law, I believe they have significance in our spiritual lives as well.

Are you able to determine when and where God has posted a yield sign in your life? When you reach an intersection – a situation where you must make a choice - Do you slow down? Do you look for God? When he approaches, do you allow Him take the right of way? Or do you impatiently hit the accelerator - ignoring Him and taking chances on your own? Just like in traffic your failure to obey may have fatal consequences.

Son/Daughter of the King, you can no longer afford to ignore the yield signs and take the road on your own. So today, God posts a stop sign. He’s calling for you to choose this day whom you will serve. In this season, know that any road travelled without God may cause tremendous damage or even worse, death.

If you desire to yield - receive all that God has for you, you must slow down, give God the right of way and allow Him to direct your pathway. Although you may be tired of waiting and you cannot always see what’s up ahead, He invites you to “Trust in Him with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. He is a promise keeper! He will do the exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask think or even dream…so I invite you to yield your heart to him. He’s crossing the road, will you give Him the right of way?

Prayer:

Father we give your name all the glory all the honor and all the praise. There is none like you God. You alone are worthy of our worship and You alone are worthy of our praise. Father we lift up those in our lives are not saved or in right relationship with you. Father we ask that you would prick their hearts right now, in the name of Jesus. Cause them to cry out, “I yield! I yield, what must I do to be saved?” We thank you because you are a good, good father. We thank you for loving us beyond measure and holding us in the palm of your hand and keeping in the center of your heart.

Father, we ask that you would search us and if you find anything that is not like you, remove it, in the Name of Jesus. Create within us clean hearts and renew within us a right spirit. Forgive us for not allowing you to take the right of way in the situations, decisions and circumstances in our lives. Have mercy on us for living our lives in the fast lane – for not taking the time to acknowledge how great, how awesome, how loving, how gracious you’ve been to us.

Today God we ask that you open the eyes of our understanding, open our ear-gates to hear you clearly – God make our hearts tender to the leading of your Holy Spirit. Take control of our minds, our health, our finances, our relationships and our dreams. Help us to be sensitive to the yield signs that bear your call, your will, your purpose and your plan for our lives.

We come against the spirit of business and impatience. We cancel the assignment of the enemy that causes us to miss the signs, wonders, and miracles that you desire to perform through us. We come against every trick, every plot, every scheme and every trap that the enemy has set to kill our purpose, steal our peace and destroy our lives.  Satan YOU ARE A LIAR! We command you to return to the pit of hell where you come from. You cannot win. We are daughters of a Mighty and All Powerful King. We declare that we are victorious in every situation! We are blessed in the city! We are blessed in the field! We are blessed when we come and when we go. The blood of Jesus give us power and strengthens us from day to day. God, it is in you that we live, move and have our being. Today we yield - we give you the right of way - we surrender all.  With the fruit of our lips and out of the abundance of our hearts - We say “Yes” to you, God. Yes to your will. Yes to your way. Yes to your plan. Yes to your purpose. Our hope and our trust is in you to see us through!

Father, we thank you that you know what we have need of before we even ask. Search our hearts and meet us at the point of our need. While we are waiting on you, help us to be still and know that you are God. When the enemy comes in like a flood, Father lift up a standard and deliver us from the hand of enemy. Thank you that by the blood of your Son Jesus Christ, we have the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy – we thank you that NOTHING by any means shall hurt your people. Now Lord bless us and keep us. Cause your face to shine upon us, be gracious unto us. Lift your countenance upon us and give us peace as we go through the days ahead, in the Mighty and Matchless Jesus Name,
