I cannot explain it and I don’t know what happened, all I remember is that, on that sunny day; the sun shone quite brightly even before i opened my eyes, for an autumn morning I thought it was unusual, it was a bit chilly but the weather was agreeable.

All i know is that I woke up on the right side of the bed that day right from the time after my morning meditation and commune with the Lord right there on my bed, through my morning ritual of having a good scrub to take off the dead skin cells and a cleansing wash afterwards and of course; brushing my teeth and flossing;I had the biggest grin plastered on my face all day long like a Cheshire cat that had just had a big bowl of herrings.

Everyone I met on the subway and bus as I travelled my usual route to work, either gave me a surprised or wondering look or simply just smiled in response as they also hurriedly took the next transport in their direction.

At work right from the main entrance to my office building I received many smiles and ‘Hi’s. My colleagues that we share an office and those in the adjoining offices gave me wondering looks as they passed me by during the course of the day. My supervisor  who usually has a sour expression, looked comical as he tried to smile back at me but only achieved a cross between a grimace and a smile; grumpily he asked me, `what´s there to smile about’ , I replied `am happy´!

My smile widened into a long wide grin that almost tore my face into two halves as I saw the instant reaction expressed on his already comical face! It was as if he could not believe anyone could have anything to be happy about. Now this is someone who went about his daily assignments diligently albeit in a robot-like manner, also as if he had the sky daily falling on his head like proverbial Henny Penny.

I could not explain that feeling that I woke up with on this sunny day, a strange day at that with weather that just did not suit the regular pattern!

A feeling of euphoric faith in all that I held true and good and i believed without a shadow of doubt in my endeavour for the day that ALL shall be well

All day as I attended to my duties, I had in my heart the song :

I´ve got the Joy Joy Joy Joy

Joy in my heart, Joy in my heart, Joy in my heart

I´ve got the Joy Joy Joy Joy

Joy in my heart, Joy in my heart to stay

Oh am so happy, so very happy …

This Joy that fills a heart with Jesus residing in it, is indescribable!

Jude 1:

24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
