It's Friday evening and I would like to be resting in my easy chair watching the news on television, but I can't.

How utterly stupid would a person be to catch the 6 a.m. news and return to the news casting at evening to see the same "story" being reported again?  

Yeh!  It's 9 p.m.  "Breaking News"... from this morning early!  All day each "show" uses the same pictures and the same "Breaking News!"

Journalism must be an easy job these days, I wonder who the one or two persons are that get the news for every other show for the day? 

It's probable that almost all of them need only to read the ticker tape of a news feed from some central location and then assemble the pictures and then yes, "Breaking News!"  "Breaking News" all day.

To me it sounds as intelligent as this: "Henny Penny said, that Chicken Licken said, that the sky is falling down."

This may not on the surface sound like an important thing to report, however, IF we cannot verify that Henny Penny really said such a thing to Chicken Licken, it may well be that we can extend this "Breaking News"  into tomorrow, and maybe for the better part of the upcoming week.

When, the reporters say, "This story just won't go away!"  you wish you could say to them loudly, so that they could hear, "Then plug the pie hole and it will go away!"

The Press creates crisis situations and continues to talk about them because they did not work enough to get some real news.  It must be that way, if it was not then there would be differing stories on the various shows.

Most likely the Press is overall a bunch of actors playing mind games and plotting the outcome; the real journalists are there, but they are few.

So, I am disappointed.  I feel harassed.   I just wanted to say so.

It does however, teach us a lesson, IF we are willing to learn: it is never good to repeat gossip and then tell ourselves that, "everyone is talking about it!"  Of course they are... if we never give it a rest.

There is injustice in so much of the news reporting that we are given.  If you are a person who watches all day because of being home bound, then you certainly can hear each reporter color their personal spin on the same "Breaking News" from early this morning, that continues to be "Breaking News," all day long.
