1 A blessed person is someone who rejects the advice of ungodly people, avoids the path of sinners, and refuses to mingle with venomous folks.

2 He is blessed because he enjoys God's laws and prefers to meditate on them all the time.

3 He will produce fruit like a healthy river-planted tree does in his lifetime. His leaf will stay green and moist, and everything he does will succeed.

4 Ungodly people are not that way. They are like dry corn husks that separate and blow away in the wind.

5 Ungodly people will not stand on judgment day, and sinners will not stand with the holy congregation.

6 God accepts the way of the righteous, but the ungodly's way will perish.
