There are times while we be traveling
out going here and there
Without a phone while on our journey
with thoughts spinning in the air

Riding along day end and day out
needing answers along the way
Should I do this or should I wait
these thoughts will often say

For surly we do need answers
to many questions that comes to mind
To see clearly the way that we should take
for they are needed at that time

But then I remembed my calling card
that I have full access each day
No stops to make and no need for money
for wherever I am, I still can pray

So I pulled it out, ran it through the grove
called the free number that I keeps
And waited on line until connected
without a worry, for God never sleeps

Then I heard the voice say your call was taken
it was received even before you dialed
You see God has no hang ups with his service
and can be with you on any mile

No charges we pay for this on going need
and no length of time of it's use
No hidden fees to worry about
and he knows his service we won't abuse

For God desires for us to call him up
and is waiting to talk a while
And he is there glad to listen
for he's the father and we're his child

Brings to mind Matthew 6:7-8 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
