The truth is in your hands
And now your calling sure,
A long journey awaits
Many challenges to endure.
With knowledge and conscience as your guide
Trust the Spirit who lives inside,
But beware the snare of doubt and fear
That can overwhelm the mind.
Grab those monsters by the throat
And shake them off your back,
Don’t let them gain a foothold
It’s a subtle, sin attack!
For you my child, are able to win
Each battle you will face,
With courage, trust and obedience
There is victory by His grace.
With each and every test, you’ll find
God faithfully brings you through,
Offer Him all the praise and glory
That He is surely due.
And when your days are over and done
There will be peace of mind,
For you lived a worthy standard
To light the ways of time.

I felt like this poem was talking directly to me! With all the challenges and trials in life, we certainly cannot have doubt and fear. The rhyming flowed and the theme was consistent throughout the writing. There will be VICTORY in JESUS name! As a poet to poet, great job!

This is really quite nice. Poetry isn't my strongest genre, but I think the words flow right off the page. The rhymes sound spot on to my tone-deaf ears. I felt like you were speaking directly to me until I got to the my son part. Being female, I felt excluded. I know it's a tiny thing and shouldn't matter, but it did a tiny bit. Perhaps if it doesn't interrupt the rhythm you could change it to my child. I understand this may have been a dialog directly to you, so the my son works, but it could be a dialog to anyone if you change it slightly. I really liked the ending. It was a powerful way to wrap up the piece and left me with a warm, comforting feeling.
