           PLEASE READ (Daniel 2:19-23) IN PREPARATION FOR THIS BLOG.

Dreams, we all have them. Some are more pronounced in our memory, than others. Why we dream is still one of the behavioral sciences' greatest unanswered questions. Researchers have given such  theories as. memory consolidation, emotional regulation, threat simulation, but a unified one is still unanswered.

Do you believe in dreams ? As for me, I'm not really sure one way or the other. I have had many dreams, most of which I don't remember in detail. However, this one dream, which I am about to tell you about,  was surely  different. Every detail continues to be stuck  in my memory.  I just can't seem to shake. So,  let me tell you about my  dream .

Let me set the scene. I was  milling around a rather large indoor shopping mall, while my family were  shopping, when I happen to notice them, all of them. They were stationed all over the mall,  men dressed in what appeared to be  grey military style uniforms, wearing blue helmets and wearing  strapped  shoulder weapons.  

Suddenly, as I was just standing in the mall, I was approached  by one of the soldiers. He appeared to be very young and was well mannered. His particular characteristic  demeanor was all business, with his conversation being direct, and to the point. His diction ,was as  if he had rehearsed  the lines of a play. Reflecting  through his polite pretense, was  a sense of cold aloofness, which gave the impression of him having no  passion for his fellow human beings. He first ask what my business was in the mall. When I told him I was just killing time waiting on my family  to finish shopping, he responded by stating I needed to have a purpose, for all that I do.

The young soldier then ask for my identification. What was so unquiet about this exchange was that I happen to be wearing, what appeared to be a badge or  ID card. The card was  fixed to my under clothing, beneath  my top coat. When I flipped  back my top coat, the young man made a note, of what appeared to be a serious of numbers on my ID card. The young man then stated that I had too much clothing on, and I didn't need it all. He had me take off my top coat and place it in a large barrel, which appeared to be there for the collection of personal items, to be given to the less fortunate.

The young soldier continued to question me, as to my demographics, where I lived, where I worked, how I spent my spare time, and if I attended any type religious service or structured church. I seemed to pass on all my answers, but when I told him of my church affiliation, his complete demeanor changed to that of rage. He said  that he must advise me that church attendance was no longer allowed in our country. That he, or  another representative of the "World Independent Society" , as he called,  it would be following up with me, my family  my friends, and my fellow church members. This comment alone really disturbed me. What had I unintentionally gotten  all the others into. It was only then, that I happened to notice his uniform patch, with the initials "W I S". 

Having established a pretty easy rapport  with this particular young soldier, I became bold and ask him ,"if all those soldier had live ammo in their rifles' ? He then suddenly clicked  his shoe heels, and standing at attention he responded, by saying , " that was for him to know and me to find out". Woe was me, meddling  where I should not have.

Anyway, it was about that time, that I woke up. My body reaping with sweat and seemingly total exhausted. I'm not sure of how this dream would have played out if continued. I just lay there in bed, praying God's sovereign power over us all (Psalm 27:8). I pray this dream never happens in real life. That we are never not allowed to have "freedom of speech" or of "religion". 

Was this just another dream of my mixed up sub-conscience. Or, was it a vision of things to come. Thank God, he is the only one with the answer. I do know, however,  nothing happens in this vast universe of ours, unless God's sovereign  will allows it to take place.

A quick note about the sovereignty of God. Absolutely nothing happens in the universe that is outside God's influence and authority.  Nothing takes Him by surprise. Not even the evil dictates of this current world. He controls all things, in our lives, in America, and throughout the world. (Jeremiah 32:17). (Colossians 1:16) (Romans 11:33) (Psalm 103:19).  He is the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. He is immortal. And is present everywhere (Revelation 21:6).

So, about dreams !  According to Bible history, God has often times spoken to His people  through dreams and visions   This same  Bible history, has  give warning of future events, or things to come. I'm not saying my dream could qualify for such notice, as I have added a few extra superlatives to emphasize a point, but I feel that you will get the intent of the dream. However, it truly had some signs of what could happen, if America doesn't turn back to God. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
