I've walked down that road before
I don't know where nor when
I've walked down that road before
I don't remember when it all began
I've walked down that road before
Maybe it was summer maybe fall
I've walked down that road before
It could have been when I was small
I've walked down that road before
When my steps were full of pep
I've walked down that road before
When my walk could keep in step
I've walked down that road before
When my walk still had its spark
I've walked down that road before
When it was just a walk in the park
I've walked down that road before
Two roads suddenly appeared to me
I've walked down that road before
One narrow and one wide I did see
I've walked down that road before
On the narrow one I chose to walk
I've walked down that road before
To the wide one they all did flock
I've walked down that road before
Was my walk in God's glory land
I've walked down that road before
Did I meet with all heavens band
I've walked down that road before
Is this all a trip to dream land
I've walked down that road before
If not I'm now heavens biggest fan

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." ( Matthew 7:13-14).

This scripture gives the story of two roads, one being wide and the other narrow. The wide one leading to destruction, and the narrow one leading to eternal life (John 3:16).

These two contrasting ways was a common teaching method in Judaism and Greco-Roman philosophy. Thus, Jesus used this mindset, as an example of choosing right from wrong. The Christian choosing life rather than death.

This illustration is a part of Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount, as Chapters 5-7 of Matthew's gospel contain this widely known and loved Sermon on the Mount. It is one of the five longest discourses by Christ. I trust you will like this portion of His Sermon in poetry.
