TO THE CHURCH, All over the World.

Here is a simple logic for all those who don't understand Grace. What is Grace? Grace is unmerited, unearned and undeserved favour from God. It is God's love, at work in humanity.
Now, before I begin my teaching, I want to openly attest that; I am in no way against works and the law. I am only against them both when the Law and work in taughted off context. Are we together?

You go to some church today and the Pastor is hammering on the fact that, "you must serve God to be blessed". Consequently, a lot of pple begin to join Units. Evangelism, design, technical, teaching etc. They all want to get blessed so they begin to serve in the Church. Now, I'm not against them working but I'm against the fact that their motive is wrong. Our motive for serving God or serving in the vineyard should be love. A love birth from ur relationship with God. A love birthed from a revelation of God's love for u (1 John 4:6).
Now apart from the fact that their motive is wrong; by serving God to get blessed, this guys are actually trying to earn God's blessing. In other words, they are trying to earn righteousness (for it's righteousness that gets u blessed (Rom 4:6) Ps 32, Matt 6:33). Now, if we were under the Law, this would have been perfect but the scriptures clearly states that "...now, we are not under the Law but under Grace.." (Rom 5:16). Brethrens, Righteousness cannot be earned if it were possible, Jesus wouldn't have come. Grace would not have been here. Do u understand? The scriptures says "Grace and Truth came through Jesus... (John 1:7)". U get me? Righteousness is a gift. A gift to be received (Rom 5:17). The blessings of God are now free for all through Christ (Especially for those who do not deserve it). That's Grace!! The fact that u can enjoy God's blessings inspite of ur shortcomings. The fact that u deserve death but have life. This is Grace that Jesus brought. So when next someone (Pastor or whoever) tries to get u to work by that phrase, show him the cross. It is the Key to ur blessings. And as u continue to grow in ur Love relationships with God, serving him will be all want to do. God bless u all.
