If we may live to see another day
Then we must have pleased God in some tiny way.
We dream. We love. We dare to please.
And we must have faith that God always sees.

If we have such glorious thoughts as these.
We can re-assure ourselves we’re on the right path
Towards God’s love and past his wrath.
We must go forward. We must believe!

If we may live to see another night
Then the day gone by has somehow been right
We put our soul within his hands and for his strength.
However far our path may be, it’s just the right length.

He has promised us the way home.
And we are never lost in no-mans land.
However discouraged and totally alone
We are still born from Heaven’s womb.

Born into a world of pain, we may misunderstand and still complain
As children of God we are still living in his name.
The earth is our home and our home is still his alone.
The Devil may think he’s playing a game.
But I called home and God answered the phone.
