The grass always seems more greener on the other side. We are always in awe of what we think others own and possess. We would like to be in the shoes of others though at times we have no idea what their real journey is all about.
We probably wish we could sing as well as the Crooner in church or be musically talented. We undermine our own qualities in the pursuit of gaining the talents that others have.
In reality, we should be content with what we have. Because while we admire traits that others have, they too in turn wish they could have the talents that we have at our disposal.
God has blessed each one of us with an unique trait. We should spend our time and energy building up on the cornerstone of our own talent.
Whilst we think others are better off than us and happy, it could be that these same people are going through some inner trials which they carefully cover up. They may smile in order to mask their pain. What is superficial can be misleading.

Today we see how nations compete against one another to prove their super powers. Companies bid with each other trying to outdo one another with all the skills at hand. They leave no stone unturned in getting what they want, be it winning tenders or excelling in the market with their brand of goods. Their aim is to see that the shares of their company rule right at the top.
People also prefer to live on the strength of their imagination where the grass is definitely greener. Besides the thoughts that play to and fro in our minds brings about a deep sense of contentment and joy which can be critically missing in the harsh reality of life.

We have all read the story of The Mermaid who used to swim to the shore in order to watch the ships sailing by. For this mermaid, the world above the water seemed more interesting than her own world below the sea. Specially after she encounters her Prince Charming on board a ship on his birthday and rescues him from drowning after the shipwreck. She then goes to the extent of cutting off her beautiful mermaid tail and lending her sweet voice in a bargain to be near her handsome prince on land whom she falls deeply in love with. She endures the pain of walking on legs like any other human being in order to win the prince's heart in the hope that he will marry her some day so that she too can gain an immortal soul readily willing to exchange her three hundred years of mortality to achieve this dream.
In the end, she loses her prince to another woman whom he mistakenly believes had saved him from drowning. Yet, the mermaid again spares the life of the prince which could have brought back her freedom to be a mermaid once more. She dives back into the water but feels herself rising in the air and encounters a host of transparent beings who call themselves 'daughters of the air'. They assure her that she will one day eventually reach the gates of heaven and gain an immortal soul by doing great deeds for the next three hundred years as she had already gained entrance into the spirit world with the gread deed that she had performed so far. 
Here we see the mermaid's sacrifice in the face of attaining love's exotic pastures. She still wins in the victory of her true love which shines the brightest in the whole story even amidst her loss.

There is a thoughtful phrase; "Some Promises are always Unspoken, Some Memories are always Unwritten, Feel the Magic of True Relation and You will realize that True Feelings are always Unspoken."
It goes to prove that while some people leave no stone unturned in expressing their feelings there are others who prefer to let their love be a silent voice, to just allow the enormous emotions manifest itself in a voiceless beauty of moments.The strong vibes that each one can feel from the other, the longing and desire that tides over them are all much stronger than speaking out the words.
Truly their emotions leave no stone unturned in brimming to the full. They can very efficiently pull it off together in expressing the words deep within with just a glance laced with love. Am reminded of a song; "You say best when you say nothing at all."
It is said that Hope is the power that gives a person the confidence to step out and try. Destiny and time can either be on our side or it may test our courage at times. Are we prepared to step out and give it our best shot? If we do so, we win against both time and destiny.

King Solomon left no stone unturned in constructing the great Temple of Jerusalem. It took seven years to build this temple and it stood for 410 years. All who passed by the temple admired it and spoke highly of the lavish mannier in which it was constructed.
This temple was built with careful precision and extravagant furnishings. King David provided Solomon with an equivalent of 3,000 tons of Gold and 30,000 tons of Silver to build this temple. Besides other precious stones, carved stone blocks, intricate art work, cedar timbers e.t.c.
Right from the Debir  which was an inner house  to the Hekal, the greater house and the Ulham which was the famous Solomon's porch along with numerous chambers to the Inner Court which was the court of priests, the Great court where the whole assembly worshipped God and the Brazen Sea. The vessels in the temple were composed of Orichalcum in the Antiquities of the Jews.  A golden altar of incense and a golden table for showbread stood before the Holy of Holies. There were Five Candle sticks made of gold on each side this golden table.
The Ark of the Covenant was placed in the Holy of Holies. Queen Sheba travelled from afar to visit the splendor of this First Temple.
More than the furnishings and treasures of the Temple, it was the Presence of God that hovered about this temple which made a greater and deeper impact.
As we read in Psalsm 127:1 ; "Unless the Lord builds the house those who build it labor in vain."

In John 2:19, Jesus spoke about destroying the Temple of that time which had taken forty six years to build and raising it up in three days. This was of course symbolic of Him being raised from the dead and a living temple dwelling within our hearts.
We also see in Matthew 24:2 where Jesus prophesies about the destruction of Jerusalem where he says; "Do you see all these things? Truly, I tell you, Not one stone here will be left on another. Every one will be thrown down."

So it is with life. It is not the physical glitter that leaves a more lasting impression but rather the divinity which exudes from a person, the kindness, love and care that is more profound and everlasting.
It is wiser to invest in the cultivation of our souls and make our being a Temple for God to dwell in so that one day we can enter into the New Temple that He has carefully built for us in the Chambers of Heaven.
For surely God has left no area or space unturned in beautifying heaven in an unimaginable and magnificent way that far excels any majestic temple built here on earth.
Let us labour with the grace of God leaving no avenues unturned to get a permanent citizenship for our souls in the heavenly city where there is rejoicing day and night in the presence of the Holy Lamb.
We do not have to wait for three hundred years like the mermaid for we will definitely reach there sooner. It is now in our hands to perform the best deeds and soar in victory into the ethereal foam of our rightful home in heaven.
