AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH

"As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man". (Matthew 24:37)

In (Luke 17:26-27), Jesus also described the events that will surround His second coming, They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Pointing out that, although the people of Noah’s day were totally depraved, they were not the least bit concerned about it. They were carrying on the events of their lives without a single thought of the judgment of God.(Genesis 6:8). Noah is described as “a preacher of righteousness” (2 Peter 2:5), meaning he had spent years warning his friends and neighbors what the Holy God was about to do. No one listened. And so it is today.

We are now living in the "last days" as we know them to be ? The signs of the time are evident. The gathering of the saints, all believers in Jesus Christ, will happen sooner than later. How much sooner, only God knows. Not the angels, not the Son himself knows when this event will take place. Only the Father knows (Matthew 24:36) (Mark 13:32).

All we, who name the name of Christ, can do is speculate. Contemplate, based on the signs of the times. And the 24th Chapter of Matthew's gospel is a good reference point in paralleling the end times with today's current events.

This 24th Chapter of Matthew begins with the disciples asking Jesus a particular three part question, "Tell us when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age ?" (Matthew 24:3). What's so amazing here, in the beginning of this particular conversation, is the human side of these disciples . You see, they ask the same question, many of us are asking today.

And human nature hasn't changed, Just as they failed to believe the prophetic teachings in olden times, the populist still doesn't believe (2 Peter 3:3-4). So, why has our heavenly Father held back the order to rapture the saints ? The scripture seems to indicate the delay of Christ's return is for the purpose of allowing more people to repent (2 Peter 3:8-9). However, the charismatic events of the end of time, as we know it, will still come suddenly (1 Thess 5:2-3)( 2 Peter 3:10). Just don't allow Satan's deception to cause you to go astray (2 Peter 3:14,17).

In this discourse Jesus answers two of the three questions the disciples asked. He does not, however, answer " when will these things be ?" He only answers "what will be the signs of Your coming" and of the end of the age?"

In (Matthew 24:4-14),we see at least nine main events, pinpointing the end times. They are the false Christ (Matthew 24:4-5) ; wars and rumors of wars (Matthew 24:6-7); famines (Matthew 24:7); pestilence (Matthew 24:7); earthquakes (Matthew 24:7); Christian martyrs (Matthew 24:8-10); false prophets (Matthew 24:11); increasing evil and loss of fervent love (Matthew 24:12); worldwide preaching of the gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 24:13-14).

These signs should be understood as being general in scope, and the beginning of sorrows, rather than being specific signs that the end of this present age is near (Matthew 24:8). So, with this mindset, let's compare the signs in Matthew Twenty-four, with the specific ungodly signs of today (2 Timothy 3:1-9,13 ) (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

Men and women alike are being celebrated , for receiving a sex change. Individuals are exploiting their bodies on social media for fame. The entertainment industry is selling sex, drugs and elusive language to children for profit. Riots are occurring in our streets. Governments are becoming more corrupt, Unjust laws are being upheld by the courts. Protesters are publicly demonstrating and burring the American flag. False race issues are becoming the norm in the public square. The education outlets are brainwashing our kids with liberal and socialism propaganda . Millions of babies are being aborted each year. Christians are being murdered because of there Christian testimony. Gay marriage is legalized by the US Supreme court. Greedy politicians are now justifying their ungodly actions and deeds, simply by tickling the people's ears. Bathrooms are no longer separated by sex. Unusual weather patterns are becoming the norm. The economy is in the tank.

And the most important decision, among all the ungodly acts, is the perversion of "Amendment One" of the United States Constitution, disallowing any public loyally to "Almighty God" and/or the public reading of God's "Holy Bible".

Yes,the predictions of Matthew twenty-four are surely being realized, as evil is now being called good and good evil. And the list goes on and on.

Is it too late ? Is America now, or about to be, under God's judgment ? It may feel like it's too late, but according to God's word, we still have a chance (1 John 1:9). You see, America is now at the forefront of God's attention, due to our ungodly actions, but America is definitely still under God's control. And only God, not the government, not the courts, not the politicians, not even the church in some cases, can change this current mindset. God gives us a solution and a promise in (2 Chronicles 7:14).

In this scripture passage, God gives us certain directions to take, in order to change this country. And along with these dictates, comes His promise. If we, as His people, will humble ourselves, pray, and seek His face. Then, He will hear from heaven, and heal our land.

Notice here, it's up to His people, us Christians. Not the ungodly, not the fence sitters, not the carnal Christians, but God's dedicated Holy people.

So, it's high time we Christians get busy, for time is short (Luke 10:2) (Matthew 9:35-38). However, are we to busy with the work of the church that we lack contact with lost people. I leave you with these questions. How many people will be able make the rapture, because of you ? Conversely, how many people will miss the rapture, because of you ? If this short synopsis is correct, then we don't have a lot of time left, in our witness.

A hint of the possible return of Jesus. In the New Testament, we see that the Lord’s Second Coming will be accompanied by the sound of a trumpet (1 Corinthians 15:51-52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). Each of the judgments in( Revelation 8-9) is also signaled by a trumpet. Just as the shofar called the Jewish nation to turn their attention to the Lord and ready themselves for the Day of Atonement, so will the “trump of God” call us to heaven and warn the world of coming judgment.

The Feast of Trumpets, along with the other six festivals of the LORD, foreshadowed certain aspects of the ministry of Jesus Christ. The prophets linked the blowing of trumpets to the future Day of Judgment: “Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand” (Joel 2:1) ( Zephaniah 1:14, 16).So, will the trumpet (shofar) blow soon ?  I pray so (Revelation 22:7,12,20).
