The Fruit of Gentleness
Gal 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Praise the Lord!!!
Beloved we are born of God to be His servants and Apostle Paul admonishes us to be gentle in our servanthood unto all men.
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. 2 Tim 2:24-26
Gentleness is described as...
- The state of being gentle.
Being gentle is to be ...
- Tender and amiable; of a considerate or kindly disposition.
- Soft and mild rather than hard or severe.
- Docile and easily managed.
- Gradual rather than steep or sudden.
- Polite and respectful rather than rude.
As servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have a lot of work to do in the saving of men who are in the household as well as those outside who must be saved and brought into the household of faith. Therefore beloved Apostle Paul says ...
To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. Tit 3:2
It is the fruit of Gentleness ...chrestotes..gk, meaning ...usefulness, ...morally, ...excellence (in character or demeanor), ...gentleness, ...goodness, ...kindness, which will help us to win over those who oppose themselves and the gospel bearers.
Fruits are desired in every area of life to bring in fulfillment, satisfaction and succession. A fruit is ...
- The seed-bearing part of a plant, edible, colourful and fragrant
- An end result, effect, or consequence; advantageous or advantageous result.
- To produce fruit.
We are the seed-bearing part of the vine to produce fruits which must be found readily edible hanging colourfully and fragrant on the vine. Jesus says I have chosen you to bear good fruit ...karpos..gk, and let the fruit remain when they bear, the fruit of gentleness.
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Jn 15:16
Fruit bearing beloved depends on its source, and the source of our fruit is from the Spirit of Christ who has become one with our spirit. One of such fruits from Christ's Spirit is the fruit of gentleness.
Jesus is the vine and we are the branches of the vine bearing and holding the fruits which are Tender and amiable; of a considerate or kindly disposition. It is to be Polite and respectful rather than rude as good epistles of Christ.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. Jas 3:17
Beloved, abiding in Jesus the vine is abiding in the Word which is Spirit and life, to produce an overcoming strength for and in you. The excellence in demeanor and character you have with your troublesome neighbor or colleague is that fruit of gentleness, ...if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. 2 Tim 2:24-26
It will be out of place for you to profess to be a Christian and behave in a contrary manner. Look deeply and find out whether you have fallen into the snare of the devil and has taken you captive at his will with misdemeanor, rage and uncontrollable anger or rudeness.
The violence that has engulfed the world and country today, the Rudeness in demeanor suggests men are in captivity of the devil needing deliverance to recover themselves and neighbors to the saving truth in Christ Jesus.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Mt 11:29-30
Will Jesus find your fruit of gentleness edible, colourful and fragrant?
Beloved let the fruit of gentleness bear.
Stay blessed!!!
