IF MY PEOPLE, A SYNOPSIS ON STANDING WITH ISRAEL

(Jeremiah 51:20,21) Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;

The book of Daniel describes the role that we are meant to play in spirit wars (Ephesians 6:12). When Daniel was praying for God to reveal His plan for the future, the answer to his prayer was resisted by a demonic power called the prince of Persia (modern day Iran). It was only because Daniel was faithful to continue to pray that powerful angels were dispatched to defeat the demonic spirit. The victory could only be won when Heaven's powers responded to Earth's prayers...and the same is true in our day.

This same victory could be realized, in this modern day, if we would only stand with God's chosen people (Genesis 12:3). And if we don't, the future is obvious.

The nation of Israel is defended by military forces that are second to none in the world. Yet, the greatest enemies Israel faces cannot be defeated by tanks and planes and guns. The war for Israel's future is a spirit war (Ephesians 6:12). Demons don't clear customs. They can only be stopped by God's power unleashed through the prayers of His people (Psalm 122:6).

Conversely, we must first remove the beam that is in our own eye, before moving forward in standing with Israel (Matthew 7:5). How is this accomplished ? In ( 2Chronicles 7:14) God has given His people, not the sinners, nor the ungodly nor the fence sitters, but the true believers, a plan of action. And when this plan is carried out, God has promised to heal our land. This healing of our land, obviously occurs after our own repentance, and that of the church as well. Yes, the healing comes after all our own sins have been made right in the sight of God.

This plan of action must start within our personal lives (Philippians 1:21), and move forward into the church, which is the body of Christ, As a result of this personal commitment, and that of the church, comes our stand for Israel. This action must be taken similar to the action first experienced in the early church ( Acts 2:37-41).

We must repent (Acts 2:37-38)
We must be baptized in the gospel (Acts 2:41)
We must continue in the teachings of Christ (Acts 2:42)
We must take part in God's wonders (Acts 2:43)
We must have unity in the church (Acts 2:44)
We must share our good fortune with the poor (Acts 2:45)
We must continue in true Christian fellowship (Acts 2:46)
We must continue praising God, and witnessing for the gospel (Acts2 :47)

And this new church stance was only made possible by the inception of God's Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). This new doctrine of the Holy Spirit demonstrated and delivered God's power to the spread of the church forever more (Acts 1:8).

Yes, this plan must start with our repentance, and continue into the church repentance. I once heard of a brave minister who singe handedly changed the course of his entire congregation. He simple called a church conference, publicly burned the church directory, then stated, " if anyone would like to continue being a member of this church, please come forward and repent of your sins". What a difference this would make in a many a churches.

You see, to repent means to change one's mind, about Jesus of Nazareth, and to acknowledge Him as Lord of our lives. Such repentance brings true salvation (2 Cor 7:9) . According to the poling factor, approx 70 % of the populist claim to be Christian. If this be true, why has the church apparently lost its first love ? Why has the church turned its back on God's chosen people, Israel ?

Could this progressive ungodly mindset against the nation of Israel just be prophecy in the making ? In ( Zechariah 12:3),we read a biblical passage that foretells how all nations will turn against Israel in the last days, In (Zechariah 12:9) we see an indications that Jesus Christ will return at some point to "save His people and destroy the enemies of Israel. And Concerning Jerusalem, the Bible says in (Zechariah 2:8) God says He will punish the nations that go against His Holy city Jerusalem.

So whose side are you going to be on in this matter? Are you going to follow the increasingly shrill voice of the anti-Israel crowd who chant, "Death to Israel" ? Or, are you going to follow those within Christendom who continue their support for Israel "? (Psalm 122:6). I don't know about you, but I will take my stand with the God of Israel who will one day soon redeem His people whom He foreknew (Titus 2:13). God plus one makes an overwhelming majority concerning any matter (Matthew 18:20).

You may think I'm totally against the structured church. Not so ! For the church was God's plan (Matthew 16:13-20). And "upon this "rock" Christ would build His church. The church would be the beginning of the divine revelation and profession of faith in Christ, The church begin at Pentecost and will continue until the saints are all called home (Rev 4:1).

Yes, I believe in the true church and the preaching of the full gospel (1 Cor 15:1-4). I do not believe, however, in this modern day "lukewarm" man made church's. social gospel. Like the church of old, God will spit these churches out of His mouth (Rev 3:16).
