Jesus is calling Will you answer?

I walked into the waiting area of the train station and noticed a card with the face of Jesus which someone had deliberately left on a window in a strategic position. The words on the card read, "He is calling. Will you answer?"

My first reaction was 'that's really nice, maybe some non-Christian will notice and hopefully contemplate giving their lives over to Christ.' I initially didn't think those words were for me. After all, I had already answered Jesus call by being an active believing born-again Christian.

Then the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and reminded me that Jesus calls
on each of us every single day!

Jesus is calling. Will you answer?

...He calls us daily to come away with him and enjoy a deeper relationship with him.  James 4:8; Come near to God and he will come near to you.

...He calls us daily to put off the flesh and put on Christ.  Ephesians 4:22-24; You were taught with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitudes of your mind; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

...He calls us to be his ambassadors and to share the gospel to the people in our world.  2 Corinthians 5:20;  We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

...He calls us to put aside timidity and to work in his power.  2 Timothy 1:7; For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

...He calls us to a life full of righteousness, peace, joy and love.  Galatians 5: 22-23; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

...He calls us to shine our light into this dark world.  Matthew 5:16; In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.

He is calling you today. Will you answer?, will you listen?, will you obey?
