Psalm: 125:2 - “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from this time forth even forever”
The other day during my prayer time, I heard a line from a song clearly in my mind, “As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so is the Lord round about His people.” Amazing isn’t to be reminded by the Lord that He protects us and safeguards us from all the enemies’ plans. I love saying that “We are all in God’s territory”.
In Exodus:14, Moses along with the Israelites after they were released from bondage, they journeyed from Egypt to the Red sea to cross over to reach the Land the Lord had for them. During that journey they were in a Zone of uncertainty because the Pharaoh’s heart was hardened by the Lord and Pharaoh sent his army to bring them back to Egypt and on the other side they faced the Red sea. They were in a situation where they couldn’t go forward and stranded. They murmured and asked Moses if he brought them this far to kill us in the wilderness. And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
The angel of God, who went before them, came behind them, and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them. Moses stretched forth his hand over the Red Sea and the Sea divided into two. The Israelites passed over but the angel of the Lord Troubled the Egyptians from not coming near the Israelites. And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians army. Then the Lord caused the sea to return which drowned the Egyptian army. The Lord protected His children from their enemies. The Lord proved that He’s the Lord of all and there is no one beside Him.
You and I maybe going through difficult situations right now and we do not know which way to turn. I encourage you today to not to look to the left or the right but look up to Jesus for He will deliver you from all your troubles and enemies. Give it to Jesus and rest at His feet and see how the Lord drives out every enemies and every difficult situation. Put your trust in Jesus through it all. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem so is the Lord around about His people forever.
Dear God Abba Father in Heaven,
We thank You for Your presence that goes before us and setting our path free from all hurdles. Lord, continue to take care of our lives and send Your angels to protect us. Let us lead a life blameless before You. In Jesus Christ Name. Amen.
God bless you.
