THE MARVELOUS THING ABOUT GRACE

The marvelous thing about grace is that it doesn’t wait until we are clean, dressed up and acting good in church before it accepts us. No, grace embraces us when we are most awful and in need of mercy: when we have gossiped, envied, coveted, lied, been angry, selfish or lustful. Grace welcomes us when we are caught in the very act. Grace accepts us when we have wasted our substance with riotous living. Grace even embraces us when we are living with our sixth partner. Grace is not grace if we have to make ourselves good enough to deserve it. It is grace precisely because we are NOT deserving enough on our own! GRACE is all about the wonderful, amazing love of God! It is not because we are outstanding, but because God’s love is outstanding, that we are accepted by Him in our worst condition.  

Jesus will never leave you or forsake you. His grace gets down and dirty in the mud, the blood and the tears. His righteousness is not the least bit squeamish. Christ will stick with you through the thick and the thin- until the end of time. And that will be just the beginning!
