JESUS IS COMING

The Fact of His Coming

  

 behold he cometh with clouds and every eye shall see him and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the Earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen." (Revelation 1 :7)

There seems to be a great controversy surrounding the theology of Christ's return. And. why shouldn't there be? The study of prophecy is the study of future events. The one future event that we know for.certain is going to happen is the coming of Jesus.

 In John chapter 14 when he was addressing his disciples about his departure, he endedthe statement by saying "I will come and receive you unto myself, that where I am ye may be. also."

 In his letter to theCorinthiansandThessalonians, Paul the apostle goes into great detail about the fact of Christ's return. Peter in his epistle mentioned it as well as does the book of Jude. In the book of Hebrews chapter 9 verse 28, we have this clear statement. "So Christ also was once, offered to bear the sins of many, and unto them that look for him shall He l appear the second time without sin unto salvation."

 The whole book of Revelation is written to emphasize the promise that Jesus is coming again. This verse states' prophetically that he is coming and "to those who look for him," means that we live faithfully in the spirit of anticipation.

 Do you believe that He is coming? What preparation are you making for His return? Will you hear His blessed words "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter Into the joy of thy Lord" or will you hear the words spoken to the foolish virgins, "l know you not"
