Walk in the Spirit

Gal 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Man is a spirit being and must of necessity partake in the spiritual where Jesus is the Head of that community and must have the spirit of Jesus to have authority in the community.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Jn 3:5-8

To be able to walk effectively in the spirit you need a spiritual rebirth which Jesus gives. To Walk ..peripateo..gk, means ...to live, ...deport oneself, ....follow, ...go, ...be occupied with, ...walk, in spirit is to walk in the Word of God in the power of the Holy Spirit who carries us along.

In other words to live or deport yourself in your sphere of contact according to the Word of God which is wisdom and be sensitive or attentive to the promptings of the spirit. The psalmist says ...

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Ps 90:12

Without the spirit, whatever we are doing is being religious. A Christian is one who is in unison with the Lord and to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable by Jesus Christ. This is because man is a spirit being and it is only by the spirit can we function in that realm.

So as we walk in the spirit by prayer and meditation in God's Word, the spirit connects the realm, downloads the realities and then makes it accessible for the soul, mind, to connect to the realms of the physical. This is the reality as the spirit realm controls the physical realm. The bible says ...

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Heb 11:6

God is Spirit and we have to worship Him in spirit and in truth or reality. As we deport ourselves to live and walk in the spirit, we will walk to fulfill the desires of spirit to be led and not the desires of the flesh which is the desires of the senses.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Gal 5:16

With the Word built in our heart, it will be alive to produce result in our lives because the Spirit of God will quicken the Word to be alive at our command.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Jn 6:63

If we fail to walk in the spirit we cannot wrestle against the forces of hell wanting to overcome us and all our things. As the forces of hell operates in the power of Satan who is a spirit being against us, we will be no match for them in the flesh. The bible says ...

But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. Mt 13:25

When men sleep, partying away the night or leisuring around, the enemy is busy planting tares ...problems, challenges, setback, sickness, in their lives because we refuse to walk also in the spirit to march against them to prevent and arrest every wick tare commissioned against you.

Walking in the spirit is making the Word, the very life of God, be an integral part of you and abiding in it. The Word ruling your thought patterns and all your things.

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Rom 8:4

The Word will produce a spiritual force in your heart called faith to bring about changes that will stop the forces of hell militating against you, that is being clothed with Jesus who is the head of the unseen community, will make your word you speak according to His will to be made alive to heal, deliver, or bring in the desired change.

When we walk in the spirit, then we can bring Jesus on the scene at the mention of His name or when we pray in Jesus name. If we fail to live and walk in the spirit we cannot bring Jesus on the scene and our word or command will remain idle or dead or Jesus will not hear your call. The bible says ...

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Eph 1:19-23

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Col 2:9-10

How connected are you in the unseen community where Jesus is the Head?

It is to be well dressed in your armory ready to withstand all the fiery darts fired at you and prevent being injured and to be in a constant fellowship with Jesus the captain of our faith.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Eph 6:11-13

As we live in two worlds at the same time, beloved, we are admonished to live and walk in the spirit which is more real, in order to have authority in heaven to bind and loose on earth in the power of the Holy Spirit.
