My passion is to help hurting souls to heal. I try doing this through my writing and my singing, while advancing through the healing journey myself. In the past, I've also had the opportunity to do so through performing arts including two theatre productions through which I've learned a lot about the challenges of  working with broken vessels (hurt people) like myself.

In effect, I learned a lot about me which opened my eyes to the challenges others would have experienced trying to reach out to me through the years of grieving. That knowledge developed in me a grateful heart towards the people who have been walking with me on this journey.

Occasionally, I get the opportunity to minister to groups of people through seminars and workshops as well as individuals on a one-2-one basis.

On the 12th March 2016 Embracing Forgiveness was launched. It is my heart in written form to reach those I may not otherwise be able to reach. God has blessed other folks in my life with a heart for helping hurting souls and some of those individuals have carried me through their prayers, friendship, mentoring and encouragement to get me to where I am today. I call them my silent partners because they are the ones you'll never see or hear about unless I purposely mention them and there would need to be a valid reason to do so.

Their years of support, in the background, helped me to gain the necessary confidence to write and get Embracing Forgiveness published. I'm often asked why it took so long to launch so I'll answer that in this article.

Embracing Forgiveness was published in March 2014. However, I wanted all the elders in my family and my silent partners to have the chance to read and give feedback before officially launching it.  I've had a few obstacles to overcome regarding that process but thankfully, I was able to move from behind the desk, put away all my writing gadgets (well, not all. I still had a writing pad and pen with me on stage :-). After all, I am a writer!) and finally launched Embracing Forgiveness.

Unfortunately, for one reason or another, most of my silent partners weren't able to attend the launch and that impacted me greatly and highlighted the reason for writing the book in the first place. It is always enlightening for me when I receive such confirmation.

Therefore, this article is to encourage my silent partners and all others whom God has blessed with a heart for hurting souls (the gift of helping others reach their full potential in Christ) not to give up doing good for others. There are always hurting souls around you who are desperately in need of your support more than you will ever know. And though you may not get the opportunity to see the fruit of your labour in your lifetime, your investment today will have eternal value.

"So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about the Lord's work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless." This encouragement comes to you from 1 Corinthians 15:58.

Be encouraged today and know that the time you invested in me have borne fruit in my personal life/growth, my marriage and parenting while providing the necessary tools for other ministry areas.

I am still on the healing journey. Although forgiveness has taken place and reconciliation in some cases, I do still experience great sadness witnessing the ongoing effects of the neglect and its consequences.

The choices we make today will have a lasting impact on self and the people we are connected to, so please choose wisely. May the light of Christ penetrate the areas of darkness around you and illuminate your world so that what you do will draw others to your heavenly Father.

Stay blessed!

How can there be any greater joy than sharing faith in our Lord Jesus Christ to be the healing balm to a wounded soul? What better one is there to do that very thing than him/her who has been wounded and healed? What a blessing it is to walk beside you and to be witness to the wonder of Christ's love in your life! Endless blessing to you as you continue in service to our King carrying out His greatest commandment to love. ... XXXO

You are a soldier of the Cross and God is with you. The words of Paul come to mind, “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9). Be blessed.
