When the bride and groom
Ran out of wine at Cana
The Lord worked behind the scenes
To turn water into the finest sweetest wine.

When the disciples
Struggled to catch fish at Galilee
The Lord worked behind the scenes
And gave them a netful of fish to drag ashore.

When the multitude
Was left hungry on the hillside
The Lord worked behind the scenes
And turned fives loaves and two fish a thousandfold.

When the apostles
Struggled against the roaring storm
The Lord worked behind the scenes
And calmed the howling ocean rage.

When the Lord in the upper room
Broke the bread and drank the wine
He worked behind the scenes
To turn them into His own body and blood.

When time sped by all too soon
And moments were somehow lost
The Lord worked behind the scenes
Made time rush back to a joyful return.

When Love was silently voiced
Nurtured deep into the heart
The Lord worked behind the scenes
Conveyed this discreet love through so many means.

When life's given strength
Seemed to fail with days
The Lord worked behind the scenes
Restoring health to full gain.

When the path of life
Turned too hard and rough
The Lord worked behind the scenes
To provide what was necessary to walk on this road.

When a silent entreat
Was lifted up to heaven's altar
The Lord worked behind the scenes
And answered our prayers even before we asked.

When the soul clamored
For an all surpassing grace
The Lord worked behind the scenes
To ensure the soul safely reached eternal home.
