T'was the blood on Calvary's tree
T'was the blood that set me free
T'was the blood on Calvary's tree
T'was the blood that rescued me
Oh the blood
The precious blood
Oh the blood
The precious blood

T'was the blood my sin did see
T'was the blood that paid my fee
T'was the blood my sin did see
T'was the blood from sin to flee
Oh the blood
The precious blood
Oh the blood
The precious blood

T'was the blood that took my sin
T'was the blood that cleansed within
T'was the blood that took my sin
T'was the blood my soul to win
Oh the blood
The precious blood
Oh the blood
The precious blood

Oh! precious is the flow
That makes me white as snow;
No other fount I know,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Having grown up in yester years church, the message of the cross was an intricate part of every church service, from the testimonies, to the singing and then the preaching. And included in this message was the saving power of the blood of Jesus Christ.

So,what is it about the saving blood of Jesus Christ, that its critics thinks is so grotesque in today's environment ? And in contrast, causes Christians in every generation to actually celebrate ? Basically, for the unbeliever, the concept is foolish, but to the Christian it is the power of God (1 Cor 1:18).

Yes,the blood of Jesus holds a special place in the hearts of believers. For without the shed blood of Christ, there is no forgiveness for sin (Hebrews 9:22).

Hence, now through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we have the great privilege of pouring our hearts out to God (Psalm 62:8), by casting all our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7) and by praying any time and any place in the power of the spirit (Ephesians 6:18).

I trust you will enjoy this simple prose of God's precious blood. Go ahead and enjoy the message by striking up a tune (Psalm 96:1-2).
