Week 4 Battle of the Mind
RENEW YOUR MIND
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2

The greatest challenges that you will fight in your life shall be first fought in the mind. If you desire to build a space shuttle to fly you to Mars, after you have prayed to Almighty God, you will have to consult with your mind. The same way the mind is very pivotal in life’s major decisions, the mind is also the engine that helps bring the body under subjection. To succeed in keeping the body under bondage, you first must guard the inflows into the mind. The gateway to the mind must be strictly guarded. These include the things we watch and allow our mind to dwell on and the things we listen to or allow into our ears. How to guard the mind is by renewing the mind by the word of God. When we became Christians, our Spirit man was regenerated but our minds remained in its old state, therefore the need to renew our mind to conform to the nature of the spirit man. This can be achieved through meditation on the word of God. A successful Christian life is impossible without renewing of the mind because the devil constantly bombards the mind with all forms of defeating ideas and how to stand firm to forge ahead is to hold on to the promises and truth of God revelation in his word. Let us make a commitment as Christians to win the battle of the mind by the power in the word. God bless you.

Dear Father Lord, I thank you for giving me your word to shape my thinking and progress in life. As it is said in your word, I declare that thy word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path. My mind and thoughts are subject to God’s word and guidance in Jesus Name. Amen.
