A young brother in 2014, Sunday, was very anxious to travel overseas to play football in an American or European country from Nigeria. He met many ministers of God who could assist him with prayers to reveal the heart of the Lord about his plan. Everyone of them revealed the fact that the Lord is in his plan. He wanted to play football to be elevated in a foreign land.
Every effort proved abortive in 2014 (and 2015).
Now, this brother decided to jettison church going and other fellowship of saints. Why? Only because his plan failed to materialise.
What does the Holy Bible say about those who forsake God?
"Their sorrows shall be multiplied
Who hasten after another god." Psalm 16:14a.
Is there any sufficient good reasons to hasten after multiple sorrows?
There are three things to pay attention to about the time to achieve your plan.
1. You must know a time or season when yours has not come. What do you think a new student who put on a gown do on the same day a student from the same college puts on his graduation gown? I think he can only admire the beauty of the gown and it's fitness on the wearer. He must wait for his time to graduate before he can put on same gown.
A sincere disciple of Jesus Christ must follow his master who knew and waited for His time. At a time He said,
"My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready." John 7:6.
As a Christian, you must know that the plan of God for your life has a gestation period, wait a little! It may require you to add "more".
Always bear this in mind,
"To everything there is a season
A time for every purpose under heaven..." Eccl 3:1.
When your time has not come, circumstances around you will not work in your favor to attain your plan.
Watch!
2. You must understand a time or season announcing the arrival of your time. At this time /stage, some changes will take place in your life or around you to show that your own time to act or have a new experience is just around the corner. Circumstances will give room to accommodate your plan.
Hear the word of the Lord in Isaiah 43:19
"Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth,
Shall you not know it?..."
Pay attention to the phrase "shall you not know it?". You must recognize the time and the season when your time is nearer than ever. A time when the Lord decided to make provision for the journey of your life.
Jesus said, "Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer,
My Time is at hand, I shall keep the passover at your house
With my disciples." John 13:33, Matt 26:18..
Are you a true disciple of Jesus Christ? Then follow His pattern!
3. You need to know when your time has come. Ability to recognize your opportunity is a great virtue, because once an opportunity is lost, it may not be regained. Therefore, you must recognize your time to reign when it comes so that you will not lose out. The Lord has this to say,, "Behold, I will do a new thing,
Shall you not know it?... Isaiah 43:19.
The Lord is never tired of doing new things in the lives of His people. He loves doing this, but He has His own time to do this perfectly (Eccl 3:11). The question is "shall you not know it?" It is very essential for you to know when your time comes for the Lord's new things in your life. Otherwise, your time may "evaporate" without making use of it to fulfill your destiny.
When your time comes, things will become easy. People to assist you will be available and ready to help. Difficulty to get results will be eliminated.
Therefore, do not compete with those whose time has come and patiently wait for yours when everything you need to succeed will be readily available.
Stay blessed and rapturable because the Lord is coming soon.
